Age 4, group two - July 31, 2014

Movement
Today in class we practiced our yoga stretches and then moved on to learning how to do the squats. After we finished our squats and stretches, we moved on to learning the "body part" dance. Finally, we finished off class with a game of four corners.

Arts & Craft
Today we made Turtle for letter T.  The children made a green turtle body and they pasted wiggly eyes and drew mouth on it. Each got a paper bowl  as its shell and painted it green. Lastly, they decorated it . They will bring it home tomorrow.

Music & Arts
We learned a new song "Bop Til You Drop" to continue working on listening skills.  We used musical instruments to sing "Merrily We Roll Along" adding different actions each time we sing.  The students also reviewed some of the previous songs which have been learned.

Drama
We read the Bible story “The Lost Sheep,” and we explained to the children that Jesus is glad when we admit that we've done something wrong and ask for forgiveness. Then we do art and craft that related to the story.

Exploration
Today, our word was "vibrate". We learned how sound is produced by vibrations. We made and decorated a bullfrog caller that mimics the sound bullfrogs make. Try searching for a bullfrog call and see if your child's bullfrog caller sounds similar!
