Group 1
Drama - The students are acting out popular children’s
stories.
Adventure Activities - How are we going to get to the other
side of lava? We have ten people and only 5 special rocks. Working as a
team students will try to get their whole team to the other side stepping only
on paper.
ART - The
students will be adding the 'mystery media' to the funny self-portraits they
made yesterday. They will use watercolor paint and straws to 'blow' their hair
out! Each class will also be able to take home their painted clay plates today.
GAMES Today
in games and movements ( 7-10 ) the class was introduced to the game capture
the flag.
Music On Wednesday and Thursday we
will be learning two important truths from the songs Little by Little (growing
in Christ after salvation), and Stretchin' the Truth (the dangers of lying).
Group 2
Music Today we discussed both regular and
irregular meter. The students learned to identify meter aurally ranging from
obvious ones to unclear irregular ones.
GAMES –
In class, we will be playing Cat in
the Corner. In this game, there will be 2-3 kids starting the game as catchers
and the rest will be the cats. The catchers will have to try to toss the ball
to the kids in the cats group, while the cats try to run to a different safe
zone than the one they started in. If the kid is tagged, they also become a
catcher until there are only 2 people left.
DRAMA - Today the children will put the
finishing touches on their skits. They will then rehearse their plays in
preparation for their performances on Thursday.
Adventure Activities Today,
the kids were split into two groups and played a game where they used popsicle
sticks to build a tower. The team that built the tallest one won the game and
got points for their team. Then we played a marble relay race. The kids had to
pick up a marble with chopsticks and bring it back to the other side of the
room without the marble falling onto the floor. It was difficult for some of
them but they liked playing the game.
ART – The children heard the story of
Jesus – God’s wonderful gift to us. To
actually own a gift, one must RECEIVE it.
The children are making gift boxes for their parents.
