(July 28) Ages 7-10: Blue Groups A-C



Group 1
Drama  - Today we are playing Theater Games.
Adventure Activities - Wait! No! Not there there is aaaaah... BOOM! bomb. We will be playing a game called Minefield. Teams will have to work together to get to the other side without stepping on a bomb if they do they have to start over again.
ART - We've kicked off our last week at Summer Fun Camp with some painting! The students will be carefully painting and adding finishing design touches to their plates that finally dried over the weekend. We're all very excited for one more week of creative art projects!
GAMES - Today in games and movements (7-10) the class did some soccer drills and played soccer.
Music - This next week, Monday and TuesdayMr. Free will introduce 2 new songs. In Everything Give Thankson Monday, and I'm Adopted on Tuesday. Both days he will be sharing the true life story of a pirate who lived 500 years ago and became a national hero when he saved his country from destruction. (Sir Walter Raleigh)

Group 2
Music Today in music class, we continued our discussion and learning of musical composition. After focusing on rhythmic improvisation yesterday, we focused on melodic composition today. We analysed famous melodies like Beethoven's For Elise and Liszt's La Campenella. Then, the class was split into 4 groups and began working on their first project, which is to compose a 30 second original melody to be shared to the entire class on Monday.
GAMES - In Games and Movement, we will be playing Cart Soccer. The class will be divided into two teams and need to score as many points possible in the other team's goal. However, instead of running with the ball, the kids will need to cross the gym by using scooters. 
DRAMA - This week the children will be developing a more detailed and in-depth mini play. Today they will generate an idea for the play and start writing. 
Adventure Activities - Today, the kids played a warm up gamed called "Fruit Salad", and then they played a few games of "Marco Polo". The third and last game they played was a blind fold obstacle course which they enjoyed a lot.

ART –We are finishing up the CD Cows and starting on Self Portraits.
