The 5-6 art class on Tuesday, the students examined the artistic style of Eric Carle, and started their own projects. They used paint to give color and texture to the paper, then leave it to dry.
In stories and drama, the students read The Grouchy Ladybug and learning new vocabularies today. Some of the also made puppets to help us retell the story of 'The Grouchy ladybug'. They also discussed alternate ways to respond kindly even when we feel grouchy.
Games and movement Day 2 Theme: God created all things. The students discussed the Creation Story, and talked about the animals God created. They played movement games involving imitating animals including the hula-hoop. If time allows, they will play soccer with a beach ball for the remainder of the class.
In Music they are learning that Jesus gives us Joy in our hearts when we obey Him.They’ll be learning the song "Down In My Heart" with a heart color sheet to go along. Some will also be decorating their folder where the color sheets for the session will go.
