Adventure
Activities:
What would happen if all our team members didn't follow the leader? We will be
playing a variation of the memory game Simon in groups to find out. What?!?! Did you say something? You wanted
me to do what? Miscommunication is the common reason for arguments and issues.
We will see how easy it is to mis communicate through the game telephone and
picto-telephone.
Games and Movement - Today
in games and movements we played European handball. The class is divided into
two teams. Each team has to work together to get the ball into the opposing
team's net.
MUSIC - We
will talk and sing about the song Hippocritter. Kids and adults need to be
sure that their words match their actions if they are going to live a good and
productive life.
ART – We are making clay plates today.
STORIES AND DRAMA - On
Thursday, the Green drama classes will begin writing their own mini-plays about
different activities we do at school!"
Group 2
Music For
Purple, we discussed how music affects the way we think. The students drew out what
they had in mind when I played 3 diverse pieces. We also continued our study on
new sounds and techniques on 20th century music.
For the other classes, we discussed 20th century music
and new techniques, like playing the piano with your nose in the piece
Schnozzage. The class then split into 4 groups and used their voices and
instruments to create new techniques and new sounds.
GAMES AND MOVEMENT -Today
we will be playing a game called Bombs Away in which the class is split into
two teams, and the two teams are required to throw as many "bombs"
(bean bags) to the opposing side possible. After around 5 minutes, the bean
bags will be counted on each side, and the side which has the least bean bags
win.
DRAMA - Today
the children continued to learn story making skills. They will also be working
together in smalls group and acting out short skits.
ADVENTURE ACTIVITIES For
the warm up game, each student created a paper airplane and the objective of
the game was to throw their paper airplanes into the basket. Then we played
musical chairs because the kids requested to play the game the day
before.
ART – We are drawing items that are
found in Heaven and are finishing up our animal magnets.
